Snow storm off the coast of Utsira, Norway last night. The wind was blowing a gale into the bargain and we were rolling like a dog on wet grass, I fired up the starboard searchlight to check the main deck and saw a lot of wet snow flakes flying towards me, tried to catch the effect on a longish exposure.

The view from under a ship in a dry dock.

The neck of an electric guitar with sunlight on the rosewood fretboard.

Me reflected in the glass of my office window. Outside is the Kiel Canal, the lights mark the side of the channel. The camera is stuck to the glass which is about 4 inches thick, with the long exposure about a second I get caught in the glass too with the back light.

My contribution to the memory of the 9th of September 2009, 090909. In the North Sea heading for Denmark, sunshine throwing a few shadows of railings and pipes across the deck, framed in the frames of the forecastle, which I was standing under at the time of photo.
